I will need to replace both doors to insure we have viable storm protection and, more importantly, Security. They do not tell you up front that they do not do painting with Illuminate employees. We paid a premium price for this job only to have it handed over to a Sub-Contractor based on low bid. The Sub-Contractor was low bid and the husband of one of the employees of Illuminate. Very unethical, uncalled for and unprofessional.

The owner told my wife to have intercourse with herself. My wife went all the way to the owner, after another three weeks of back and forth angry contacts. They no longer worked as a storm/security door.

The doors are so badly sprung out of shape, they are difficult to close. The double latches on both doors will not latch. The most disappointing aspect is the Sub-Contractor destroyed our front and back Larson storm/security doors. They must be pushed to the point of wanting us out of their hair. They do not answer calls, texts or emails. They did not do any of the repairs as promised by the Illuminate PM. It took us three weeks to get them back out to take care of the punch list. They did not caulk or paint the two sheds until shown the signed contract, again. They were packing up to leave and not finish all the painting. Took three days to get the paint we chose. My wife and I managed the clueless Painters. Sub-Contractor came to my home completely clueless. Took over a month to get a firm date to start. We entered into a contract to paint our house and two storage sheds in the back yard. We are not babysitters for "professionals", but it appears we should have been. The parts of the job that did get completed were good, but we can only give 2 stars for a service business that can't follow their own estimates, gets called twice to fix things, and then pulls a No-Show to fix the rest. Would have held payment had we known that the job would be left unfinished. Manager was notified, and we were told that the crew would come back the very next morning to correct things. The crew did come back and walked through with the PM, but they still did not correct the noted items. Project manager came for a post-walkthrough, and several deficiencies were observed (missed caulking, missed painting). Had to contact the project manager about the trim because the garage door paint really couldn't be removed. Right off the bat they painted the garage door, and completely ignored the trim. Got an estimate that included splicing of the garage door trim as well as no painting of the garage door. Hard to know what to think about this group.
